Fall is here! In our household we go to Green Acres Farm in Milan to start of the fall season by picking pumpkins up and taking photos. This year I also went to Four Seasons Nursery for decorations for our photo booth at the Homes for Dogs annual event. I learned a lesson- CHECK the FOOTBALL schedule before setting the event date… TN vs FL game. I’m not a sports fan so it didn’t weigh in my mind. Our event raised food/treats for the Jackson Animal Care Center’s food pantry. We even had donations of dog jackets, dog beds, blankets, and other items. One dog and two kittens were adopted! See photo below of Willie and his new Mom. I was able to snap some photos of the 3 dogs that are still looking for homes. Check out Jackson Animal Care Center’s adoptable pets here.
Some fun photos from our Green Acres trip below.
Halloween season is near there are three events I will be part of this year below. I love having kiddos dressed up ring our door bell for candy. That is one of my favorite things about homeownership- Halloween and fall. I prepare individual bags with 3-4 pieces of candy to save time when I have 5-10 at once. I have prepared 300 for my door. Checkout the neighborhood app Nextdoor for the Treat Map to see who has candy this year and be sure to add your home to the list if you plan to stay in!
